Getting Ready

Steps to Skiing at GRANSNOW OKUIBUKI

  • STEP01

    Purchase a Lift Ticket

    First, purchase your lift ticket at the ticket counter in front of the Center House. You can also make advance reservations online!

    Head to the Rental House!

    Next, head to the rental shop! Visitors using rental gear should apply at the Rental House. You can apply on the same day or make reservations in advance online.

    To the Changing Rooms/Locker Room

    Store your bags and belongings in the locker room on the second floor of the Rental House, and change into your snow wear in the changing rooms.

  • STEP04

    Now it's time to head to the slopes!

    At this point, you're all set!

Beginner Friendly

Even first-timers are welcome GRANSNOW OKUIBUKI!

    You can rent a complete set of winter sports gear!

    At GRANSNOW OKUIBUKI, there's no problem showing up without any gear!
    We have 5,000 sets of rental gear, so you can rent only the things you don't have, or just rent the heavier items. For your convenience, advance reservations are also available!

RULE

Let's review the rules and precautions.

Ski Slope

  1. 1

    Ensure safety and fun for all.

    When skiing on the slopes, remember to be considerate of others so that everyone can enjoy themselves.

  2. 2

    The person ahead has the right of way.

    When passing someone on the slope, collisions can be dangerous, so slow down and pass with caution.

  3. 3

    Leave your skis and snowboards in designated areas.

    When taking a break, please place your skis or snowboards in designated areas off the slopes.
    Leaving skis or snowboards on the slopes themselves is extremely dangerous!

  4. 4

    Stay in your skis or snowboard when getting on the lift.

    Do not hold skis or snowboard in your hands when riding the lift!
    Keep your skis or snowboard on when riding the lifts.

  5. 5

    If you drop something on the slopes, contact an attendant.

    Searching for lost items yourself or entering prohibited areas is extremely dangerous.
    Be sure to ask a member of our staff for assistance.

  6. 6

    Do not litter.

    Littering on the slopes is prohibited.
    Please take your trash with you or dispose of it in a trash can on the GRANSNOW OKUIBUKI premises.

  7. 7

    Do not play in the snow on the slopes.

    Hiking, climbing, and sledding on snowboards on the slopes are prohibited.

  8. 8

    When stopping, keep to the side.

    Stopping in the middle of the trail is dangerous. When stopping, move to the side of the trail. Pairs and groups must line up along the edge of the trail.

  9. 9

    Prevent runaways.

    A runaway snowboard can cause a serious accident. Make sure your snowboard is securely placed.

  10. 10

    Choose trails suited to your skill level.

    We cannot retrieve skiers who are unable to handle steep runs.
    Beginners should start on the beginner slopes.

  11. 11

    Do not enter prohibited areas.

    Entering areas marked off by closed trail signs or ropes is prohibited. Failure to observe this rule can be fatal.

  12. 12

    Comply with ski patrol instructions.

    To ensure safe and enjoyable skiing for everyone, please follow any instructions issued by the ski patrol.

  13. 13

    Observe all no-smoking and eating and drinking rules.

    Smoking is prohibited on the slopes. Bringing in food and drink is also prohibited.
    Please smoke only in the designated smoking areas, and visit our restaurant for meals and refreshments.

Lift

  1. 1

    Okay, beginners, off to the beginner slopes!

    We recommend heading up through the Green Tunnel and skiing on the beginner slopes.
    Choose a lift appropriate for your level.

  2. 2

    Keep your skis on when boarding the lift!

    At GRANSNOW OKUIBUKI, you cannot board the lift while holding your skis or snowboard.
    Always board the lift with your skis or snowboard on your feet.

  3. 3

    Do not throw anything from the lift.

    There may be people under the lift. Please refrain from littering or smoking and keep the slopes clean.

  4. 4

    When getting off the lift, do not stop.

    Standing at the top terminal may cause the lift to stop and inconvenience other guests. Move out of the way immediately after you get off.
